Soy-Lemon Basting Sauce
(For basting grilled or broiled fish or poultry)

Ingredients

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon cornstarch

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

2 tablespoons water

2 tablespoons very thinly sliced green onions with tops

1 tablespoon butter

1 large clove garlic, minced

Directions

In a saucepan blend brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in lemon juice, soy sauce and water.

Add onion and stir until thickened and bubbly.

Use for basting broiled or grilled fish or poultry.
