Grilled Bananas With Chocolate Syrup

3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cream of coconut (usually found on the mixed drink aisle)
6 ripe but firm bananas commercially prepared chocolate syrup
In a saucepan, combine sugars, salt and cream of coconut and cook over medium heat, stirring until sugars dissolve. Transfer to a bowl; set aside.
Place unpeeled bananas on grill over medium-low heat and cook, turning after 10 minutes; continue cooking until peelings are black. Transfer to a plate.
When cool enough to handle, peel bananas and slice in half, lengthwise.
To serve, place 2 banana halves on each of 6 serving dishes, drizzle with coconut syrup and chocolate syrup.
Makes 6 servings.
