RECIPE FROM "SANDY'S
Easy Apple Butter
10 Apples, large, peeled and cored
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon Clove, ground
1/2 teaspoon Salt
Cut the apples into medium slices. Place in a heavy saucepan. (This recipe can also be made in a crockpot.)
Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cook for three hours (or until thick and dark) over very low heat, stirring frequently.
Serve on warm biscuits.
Makes 4 cups
