Dutch Apple Cake

Ingredients for Cake

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1-1/2 cups vegetable oil

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups chopped apples

1 cup chopped nuts

1 teaspoon vanilla


Ingredients for Glaze

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 tablespoons margarine

2 tablespoons milk


Directions for Cake

1. Beat eggs; add sugars and oil.

2. Sift together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Add slowly to creamed mixture.

3. Add apples, nuts, and vanilla.

4. Bake in greased tube pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour.


Directions for Glaze

1. Mix together brown sugar, margarine, and milk and heat to boiling. Boil 2 to 3 minutes over medium heat.

2. Spread over warm cake.
