RECIPE FROM "SANDY'S
Death By Chocolate
2 lbs. chocolate
3 cups heavy cream
8 egg yolks
1/4 cup raspberry liquer
1 cup sugar
Melt chocolate together with cream in a bowl over hot water, and place on one side to cool.
Fold the cooked egg mixture into the chocolate mixture, blending well.
Pour into a film-lined loaf pan and chill overnight.
Using the same hot water bath, take another bowl and beat together the egg yolks and sugar with the liquer over hot water until the consistency of a thin sauce.
To serve, splash and splatter raspberry coulis onto a serving plate, to resemble (sorry!) blood.
Slice chocolate and place on top of a plate on which you have already dribbled the coulis. Dribble more coulis on top of the chocolate if desired.
Sandy's Caveat: This dessert is very high in cholesterol.
