RECIPE FROM "SANDY'S
Creamy English Peas
(From Southern Living)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cup chopped celery
1 large red bell pepper, chopped
1 (16-ounce) package frozen English peas, thawed
1 (8-ounce) can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup, undiluted
1 cup chow mein noodles
Melt butter in a large skillet. Add onion, celery, and bell pepper; sauté until tender.
Stir in peas, water chestnuts, and soup; cook over medium heat 10 minutes or until thoroughly heated.
Sprinkle with noodles.
