RECIPE FROM "SANDY'S

8 ounces lasagna, cooked and drained
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 tsp. dried basil
1 clove garlic (minced)
3 cups chicken broth
2-3 cups diced, cooked chicken
16 ounces cottage cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten
10 ounces chopped spinach
1 cup (4 oz) Mozzarella cheese, grated
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Melt butter in large sauce pan.
Blend in flour, salt, basil and garlic.
Stir in broth and cook until mixture thickens. Add chicken.
Mix cottage cheese, and spinach with beaten egg. (refrigerate if made ahead).
Layer 1/3 chicken mixture in greased 9 X 13" baking dish.
Top with half of the lasagna, cottage cheese mix, and mozzarella; repeat layers topping with chicken and Parmesan.
Bake, uncovered in preheated 475F oven 45 minutes.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
