Chicken and Broccoli Casserole
4 tablespoons Butter
4 tablespoons Flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 1/2 cups Milk
1 Tablespoon Sherry
2 cups Broccoli, cooked, chopped
8 ounces Chicken, cooked, sliced
1/4 to 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Whisk in the flour, garlic powder, paprika, pepper and cook for 3 minutes. Whisk in the milk. Simmer for 20 minutes. Add the sherry. Set aside.
Preheat the oven to 375. Add the broccoli to a well-oiled casserole dish. Top with the chicken. Pour the sauce over the mixture. Sprinkle on the cheese.
Bake for 18-20 minutes or until lightly browned.
